Collection:Paper Mache Halloween Candy Buckets

These paper mache Halloween candy buckets bring back the look of old-fashioned trick-or-treating. Each one is handmade from painted paper mache, then distressed by hand for a worn, faded look. They are part decoration, part candy holder, with a real following among collectors.

Handmade Paper Mache Halloween Candy Buckets

Artisans make each bucket in Valentine, Nebraska, where they still work in traditional paper mache. They layer and paint every piece by hand, so no two come out quite alike. The styles range from grinning jack o' lanterns to wide-eyed black cats. New designs arrive each season, and they sell out quickly. So the collection keeps shifting as favorites disappear and fresh styles take their place.

Each bucket shares the same handmade character:

• Handmade from painted, hand-distressed paper mache
• Made in Valentine, Nebraska
• A vintage look with real collector appeal
• Good for candy, florals, or a glowing centerpiece

Use them as treat buckets by the door, or as candy containers on the table. They are sized for trick-or-treating, but most people keep them out all season. They also work filled with autumn florals, or clustered down the center of a tablescape. Because they are handmade and a little worn, they have the charm of old dime-store decorations.

These paper mache Halloween buckets also make a memorable Halloween host gift. You will find more entertaining ideas across our gifting collection.
