HUDSON GRACE BEDDING & BATH

Hudson Grace bedding and bath collections bring together comfort, quality, and generations of European textile craft. Skilled makers in Italy and Portugal weave our linen, cotton bedding, and bath towels with close attention to how each piece feels, performs, and lasts. From cool percale sheets and soft washed linen to lightweight matelassé and plush cotton towels, these are the pieces we use in our own homes.

Every collection has a distinct feel. However, Hudson Grace bedding is made to layer across fabrics, colors, and seasons. Start with the material or weave that feels best to you, then add the pieces that make your bed uniquely yours.

Washed Linen Bedding

Choose washed linen bedding if you prefer a soft hand, natural texture, and relaxed finish. Linen allows air to move through the fabric. As a result, it feels breathable during warm weather and comfortable beneath added layers in winter.

Hudson Grace offers two distinct washed linen collections. Our Italian Washed Linen Bedding starts with fine European flax. One of Italy’s leading mills spins and custom weaves the linen, while a third-generation Italian atelier completes the tailoring. The medium-weight fabric has a rich hand and comes in a classic, neutral-led palette.

Meanwhile, our European Washed Linen Bedding comes from Portugal and offers a softer, more relaxed point of view. We love its wider range of colors, including shades of green and blue, warm neutrals, white, and grey. Both collections become softer with every wash and layer beautifully with crisp percale.

Percale Bedding

Percale is a cotton weave known for its cool, crisp feel. Its simple one-thread-over, one-thread-under construction allows air to move through the fabric. Therefore, percale sheets work especially well for warm sleepers and anyone who likes bedding that feels fresh and smooth.

Our percale bedding comes from skilled textile makers in Italy and Portugal. The range includes solid Italian percale, wide bands, piped edges, scallop stitching, diamond borders, and finely embroidered designs. In addition, select collections use long-staple, extra-long-staple, or organic cotton for lasting softness and strength.

Percale softens with regular washing while keeping its crisp character. Use it as a complete bed or pair it with washed linen, patterned cotton, or a matelassé coverlet.

Cotton Bedding

All percale is cotton, but not all cotton bedding is percale. Different weaves give cotton a different weight, texture, and feel. For example, chambray has the familiar softness of a favorite shirt, while seersucker has a light, puckered surface. Dobby looms create small woven patterns, and Oxford cotton offers a soft, breathable finish.

Hudson Grace cotton bedding also includes classic yarn-dyed stripes and organic cotton duvet sets from Portugal. Because cotton is breathable, washable, and comfortable throughout the year, it remains one of the most useful choices for everyday bedding.

Matelassé Bedding

Matelassé bedding creates the dimensional look of quilting without heavy batting. Consequently, a cotton matelassé coverlet adds texture and a finished layer without the weight of a traditional quilt.

Hudson Grace Matelassé Bedding is hand-loomed in Portugal from 100% cotton. Choose subtle herringbone, paisley, or ribbed patterns, each finished with double stitching and mitered corners. Use a coverlet on its own in warm weather or layer it over a duvet when temperatures drop.

HG Signature Bath Towels

The best bath towels should feel thick and plush, absorb water quickly, and stand up to daily washing. Hudson Grace Signature Bath Towels do all three. Made in Portugal from 100% cotton, these are the towels we use in our own homes.

The collection includes washcloths, hand towels, bath towels, and bath sheets in classic Hudson Grace colors. Choose crisp white or mix shades of blue, green, grey, orange, and warm neutrals. Also, the complete range makes it easy to stock a main bathroom, prepare a guest bath, or build a wedding registry.

Bedding for Warm Sleepers

If you sleep warm, begin with percale sheets. Their crisp cotton weave feels cool and allows air to circulate. Washed linen is another excellent option because its open weave breathes naturally and helps release heat.

For additional layers, choose a lightweight cotton duvet cover or matelassé coverlet. Then, adjust the insert and number of layers with the season rather than replacing the full bedding collection.

How to Layer a Hudson Grace Bed

First, choose sheets in percale, linen, chambray, or another cotton weave. Next, add a duvet cover in a matching color or contrasting texture. For example, pair crisp percale sheets with a relaxed washed linen duvet. Alternatively, place a white matelassé coverlet over striped cotton bedding.

Finally, add Euro shams, sleeping pillows, and a throw. Colors do not need to match exactly. In fact, shades of one color and a mix of smooth, relaxed, and woven textures often make the bed feel more personal.

Bedding and Bath for a Wedding Registry

Bedding and bath essentials belong on every wedding registry because couples use them every day. Start with two complete sheet sets, a duvet cover or duvet set, extra pillowcases, and Euro shams. Then, add a matelassé coverlet for year-round layering.

For the bathroom, register for washcloths, hand towels, bath towels, and bath sheets. Include enough towels to keep one set in use while another is in the wash, plus additional pieces for guests. Most importantly, choose colors and materials that can move easily between homes, rooms, and seasons.

Preparing a Guest Room and Bath

A guest room begins with comfortable, breathable sheets and bedding that adapts to the temperature. Percale, linen, and cotton all work well. In addition, an extra coverlet or throw allows guests to add warmth without asking.

In the bathroom, place a fresh bath towel or bath sheet, hand towel, and washcloth where guests can see them. Keep an extra set nearby. These small details make the room feel ready before anyone arrives.

How to Care for European Bedding and Bath

Always follow the care label for each collection. In general, wash cotton and percale bedding in warm or cold water and tumble dry on low. Wash linen in cold water, then tumble dry on low. Also, avoid high heat because it can place extra stress on natural fibers.

Use non-chlorine bleach only when the product label allows it. For bath towels, skip fabric softener because it can coat the cotton and reduce absorbency. Finally, remove bedding and towels from the dryer promptly and allow towels to dry fully between uses.

Hudson Grace European bedding and bath combines natural comfort with the textile traditions of Italy and Portugal. These collections feel good from the first use, improve with proper care, and work together for years.
