Furniture
We are not a furniture store. Hudson Grace carries the few furniture pieces we would live with ourselves. We discover each piece rather than mass-produce it, and we choose it because it makes a home feel collected and warm. Our furniture follows the way we love to live: gathering at the table, lingering after dinner, and moving the party outdoors. These European-inspired, quietly traveled pieces anchor a room without matching it.
Whether you're furnishing a dining room or a terrace, here's how our collected furniture comes together.
What you'll find in the collection:
-
French bistro chairs: The authentic woven rattan café chair, in named styles like Fouquet's, Chenonceau, and Chambord.
-
Dining tables: Extendable oak tables with a vintage patina, from the Auberge to the Benedictine.
-
Lounging & outdoor: Reclaimed teak lounge chairs, director's chairs, and woven benches for the porch and garden.
-
Bar carts: Antique brass and marble carts like the Felix and Brentwood.
-
Stools & seating: Reclaimed teak stools and designer woven pieces, collected one at a time.
The French Bistro Chair
The French bistro chair is the heart of our furniture collection, and ours are the real thing. We weave each one by hand in rattan on a natural frame, the same café chair that has lined Parisian sidewalks since the 1800s. We carry them in named styles drawn from French places: the Fouquet's, the Chenonceau, and the Chambord, in chevrons, polka dots, and stripes of olive, navy, and black. A pair brings a kitchen to life, and a full set turns a dining room into a brasserie. Because they're as sturdy as they are charming, they move easily from the table to the terrace.
Dining Tables Worth Gathering Around
A dining table is where everything happens, so we build ours to last generations. Our extendable oak tables, the Auberge, Du Mas, Solstice, and Benedictine, carry a warm mahogany finish and a vintage patina. Indeed, they look collected from the day they arrive. For something more relaxed, the Samuel reclaimed teak oval and the teak outdoor tables bring the same gather-here feeling to a porch. Then pair any of them with our bistro chairs, and you're set for years of long dinners.
Pieces for Lounging and the Garden
Some of our favorite furniture is made for after dinner. The Southern French Arm Chair in natural rattan, the woven Anne lounge chair, and the striped director's chairs invite you to sink in with a drink in hand. For the garden, our reclaimed teak benches, beach chairs, and designer pieces bring real pedigree outside. These include the Gian Franco Legler "Basket" chair and the Yuzuru Yamakawa "Wing" stools. Because we use these in our own homes, we choose every piece to be lived in, not just looked at.
The Bar Cart
No entertaining-first collection is complete without a proper bar cart. Our Felix carts pair antique brass with white marble shelves, while the Brentwood adds a mirrored bottom and gallery rail. Meanwhile, the honey-rattan Dory brings a lighter, woven note. Roll one into a corner, stock it with glassware and a few bar tools, and the party has a home.
Common Questions
What makes furniture feel collected instead of matchy? Collected furniture mixes pieces of different origins, eras, and materials rather than matching a set. At Hudson Grace, we choose each piece on its own. So a room looks gathered over time rather than bought all at once.
Where can you buy authentic French bistro chairs? Hudson Grace carries genuine handwoven rattan French bistro chairs, the classic Parisian café chair. We offer them in named styles like Fouquet's, Chenonceau, and Chambord. They suit a kitchen, a dining room, or an outdoor table.
What furniture suits a home built around entertaining? First, look for an extendable dining table that seats a crowd. Then add comfortable chairs that invite lingering, a bar cart, and flexible lounge seating. We choose our furniture specifically for dining, gathering, and lounging.
Does Hudson Grace sell outdoor furniture? Yes. We carry teak dining tables, director's and beach chairs, woven benches, and designer outdoor seating. These are the same pieces we use in our own homes, and they move easily between the table and the garden.
Is Hudson Grace a furniture store? Not in the traditional sense. Generally, we carry a small, curated edit of furniture rooted in entertaining and lounging. We discover these European-inspired pieces ourselves and would live with them, rather than stock a comprehensive catalog.
