Peter Dunham + Hudson Grace

The Peter Dunham + Hudson Grace collection brings pattern, color, and a well-traveled point of view to the table. Created with Los Angeles-based interior and textile designer Peter Dunham, the exclusive collection pairs his iconic prints with Hudson Grace dinnerware and table linens.

Every piece invites you to mix, match, and layer. Hand-painted plates meet printed cotton napkins, while colorful tablecloths and runners bring the full table together. The result feels collected rather than coordinated and, most importantly, ready for a good party.

Designed to Be Mixed, Matched, and Layered

Peter Dunham is known for combining textiles from different places and periods without making a room feel formal. The Peter Dunham + Hudson Grace collection brings that same approach to entertaining.

Patterns draw from paisleys, ikats, florals, stripes, chintz, and geometric motifs. Meanwhile, a broad palette of indigo blue, olive green, bright pink, red, golden yellow, chocolate brown, and spice orange makes it easy to create a table around one color or several.

The collection includes:

• Hand-painted dinner plates, salad plates, and appetizer plates
• Printed cotton napkins
• Printed cotton tablecloths
• Colorful table runners
• Patterned paper cocktail napkins
• Coordinating designs in blue, green, pink, red, orange, and natural tones
• Peter Dunham’s Fez, Kashmir, Fig Leaf, Bukhara, Jaali, Oona, Deeg, Shani, Starburst, Janpath, and Indian Chintz patterns

Hand-Painted Dinnerware

The dinnerware translates Peter Dunham’s textile patterns into hand-painted ceramic plates. Fez borders frame classic white centers, while Kashmir paisleys, Fig Leaf botanicals, Jaali florals, and Sunburst patterns cover the plate with color.

Artisans paint each piece by hand. Therefore, the placement and brushwork may vary slightly from one plate to the next. These subtle differences give the dinnerware its character and make every table setting feel individual.

Dinner plates create a strong foundation. Next, add salad and appetizer plates in a contrasting pattern or color. For example, pair an indigo Fez dinner plate with an olive Kashmir salad plate. Alternatively, layer pink, orange, and red designs for a warmer table.

Printed Cotton Table Linens

The Peter Dunham + Hudson Grace table linens feature many of Dunham’s best-known textile patterns. Made from 100% cotton slub, the napkins, tablecloths, and runners have a lightly textured feel that suits the collection’s relaxed approach.

Printed borders give each piece a finished edge and add another opportunity for color. Some designs place blue beside green, while others combine pink with orange or gold with spice. As a result, the linens make mixing patterns surprisingly simple.

Choose from:

• Full printed tablecloths for rectangular tables
• Patterned cotton napkins with contrasting borders
• Long table runners for a focused layer of color
• Paper cocktail napkins featuring two coordinating prints

Because the linens share colors across different patterns, you can build a table gradually. Start with a tablecloth and solid dinnerware. Then, add patterned napkins or hand-painted plates when you want more color.

Peter Dunham’s Signature Patterns

Each print brings a different rhythm to the table. Fez uses a detailed stripe inspired by vintage embroidery, while Kashmir offers a classic paisley. Bukhara draws from ikat, and Fig Leaf brings a large botanical form to napkins, runners, and tablecloths.

In addition, Jaali uses a graphic floral motif, Shani features winding botanicals, and Indian Chintz adds a dense flower pattern. Oona, Deeg, Janpath, and Starburst bring geometric shapes and strong borders into the mix.

Although the references span many places and periods, Peter Dunham’s clear use of color connects them. Consequently, florals, paisleys, stripes, and geometric patterns can share the same table without competing.

How to Mix Patterns on a Table

A patterned table works best when one element leads and the others support it. First, choose a tablecloth, runner, or dinner plate as your starting point. Next, repeat one of its colors in another pattern.

For example, use a blue Bukhara tablecloth with green Kashmir napkins and blue Fez plates. The patterns differ, but the shared blues connect the setting. For a brighter table, pair pink Jaali linens with orange or red dinnerware.

You can also keep the foundation simple. White dinnerware and clear glassware give printed linens room to stand out. Likewise, a natural wood table balances a mix of colorful plates and napkins.

When setting a Peter Dunham + Hudson Grace table:

• Repeat one color across several different patterns
• Combine large botanical prints with smaller stripes or paisleys
• Mix two plate designs instead of using one matching set
• Use white dinnerware to create space between stronger prints
• Add natural wood, woven placemats, or clear glassware for balance
• Choose a runner when you want pattern without covering the full table

A Table Made for a Party

The Peter Dunham + Hudson Grace collection was created for entertaining. The pieces have color and character, yet they remain practical enough for lunches, weeknight dinners, and tables that come together without a strict plan.

A printed tablecloth can set the direction for the entire meal. However, a single patterned napkin or hand-painted appetizer plate can change a simple place setting just as easily. There is no need to save these pieces for a formal occasion.

Instead, use them for brunch, a birthday dinner, drinks in the garden, or an impromptu meal with friends. Add flowers, candles, and the food you actually want to eat. The patterns will handle the rest.

Gifts for Entertainers and Design Lovers

The collection also offers thoughtful gifts for people who enjoy setting a table. A pair of hand-painted appetizer plates, printed napkins, or patterned cocktail napkins makes an easy host or housewarming gift.

For a wedding registry, consider dinner and salad plates, a tablecloth, and enough napkins for a full table. Because the colors and patterns mix easily, recipients can add to the collection over time without needing an exact match.

Peter Dunham + Hudson Grace gifts include:

• Printed napkins for a host or new home
• Hand-painted plates for birthdays and weddings

For Designers and Trade Projects

The range of patterns and colors also gives interior designers a useful way to connect the dining table with the surrounding room. Choose table linens that repeat a color found in upholstery, art, or wallpaper. Alternatively, use a contrasting palette to give the dining area its own identity.
