Apple Martini

Apple Martini

Words by Julia Rose Tyler

It’s a little cheesy. A total cliché. Bright green and unapologetically extra. But we’re bringing it back—for fall, for fun, and because sometimes the most over-the-top drink just hits. The Apple Martini (or Appletini, if you're leaning in) is tart, crisp, and cold..

Vodka, sour apple liqueur, and a splash of citrus—shaken hard and poured into a martini glass like it’s 2003. If you're feeling bold, add a dash of cinnamon or allspice and call it seasonal.

Recipe

  • 2 oz vodka

  • 1 oz sour apple liqueur (like DeKuyper or Berentzen)

  • ½ oz fresh lemon juice
Shake hard with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a thin apple slice or twist.

Spiced variation: Add a dash of ground cinnamon or allspice to the shaker. Shake longer than usual and double strain.

A note: The Apple Martini peaked in the early 2000s, then went quiet. But it never fully left. It’s bold, sweet-tart, and far more fun than it has any right to be.

When we serve it: Fall parties, Halloween nights, or when you're leaning into the theme and refusing to apologize for it.
